OLIOLI (Cross-Way)

The cross way was build for the sake of easy for transportation, vehicle and other to take a shortcut to other side. Rather than taking the main road, which is take time and costly in terms of fuel.  This cross way is located on Teava side.


Mea puke air (Equipment for collecting Air-sample)

PULAKA PIT (Dug by the Tokelauan)

According to our ancestor stories, this pulaka pit was dug by the Tokelauan in the past 2 centuries. The Tokelauan warriors came to Niutao for aim of taking over the Island. Instead there where defeated. So they beg the Niutao people not to kill them. So the leader of the Island give them a penalties or work to do. They dug this pulaka pit. Now days, we still have the local song or fatele about this pulakapits. This pulaka pits is around 10 m deep, also is the biggest pulaka pits among the island.
